Prepare to be delighted and charmed!
Featuring the art of Mila Marquis, an artist living with her family in Hamburg, Germany, this design offers a little bliss bomb for the spirit. Mila’s art combines sparkling emotion and unashamedly sweet scenes that cajole even the heaviest spirits to soar.
Using a variety of media, including crayons, coloured pencils, gouache and acrylics, Mila creates small dreamscapes inspired by the positive things in life. There is vast delight to be found in even the smallest of her precious and joy-inducing details. In the piece originally titled “Sweet Harvest (Apple Picking)” and recreated here, Mila depicts a young woman picking apples on a lovely fall day.
When asked if her work is a reflection of her personality, Mila states that when she is feeling down, her art brings her back to her “sweetest dreams.” She is particularly happy when illustrations have a little twist in them and offer a glimpse at “the other side of the moon.”
