About This Design
大量の動植物が素晴らしく描かれている「Mira（ミラ）」から、「トンボ、カーネーション、昆虫、毛虫、てんとう虫、イングリッシュクルミ、海の軟体動物」を取り上げて再現しました。フーフナーヘルの動植物の彩飾に見られる厳正な自然主義は、後のオランダの静物画画家たちの見本となりました。フーフナーヘルはフランドル最後の重要な彩飾写本家であり、静物画の新しい分野を手がけた最初の芸術家として人々の記憶に刻まれています。事実、彼が残した日付のない花の細密画は、単独のものとして世の人々が最初に見た静物画とみなされています。
