Taking the literary world by storm with the release of Fourth Wing in 2023, Rebecca Yarros reignited the romantasy genre for a whole new generation of readers.
Set in a dystopian world where dragon riders play a crucial role in the defense of their realm, the Empyrean series centers around Violet Sorrengail, a 20-year-old recruit who is thrust into the harsh realities of the Basgiath War College. As Violet navigates the brutal training required to become a dragon rider, her character defies traditional fantasy tropes, offering readers a female hero who is both formidable and deeply human. Yarros’ exploration of themes such as resilience, identity, and the power of relationships resonates deeply with readers, particularly through the lens of Violet’s challenges and growth.
We are thrilled to partner with Rebecca Yarros and Red Tower Publishing through our collaboration with Hachette UK to bring the magic of Violet’s world to the Paperblanks collection. This design encapsulates all the seduction and mystery of the book series, and we hope it will, in some way, inspire your own magical romance.
