Lyon Florals
master patterns inspired by the natural world
This new collection of journals reproduces with astonishing
fidelity a series of striking French fabric designs. Providing a glimpse
into the creative process, each cover is inspired by the original artwork
of a new fabric design. Dating from the 1860s, these master patterns were
hand-painted prior to machine production. Drawing inspiration from the natural
world, the designs feature an abundance of flowers, luscious plume-like
foliage and twining tendrils.
Peacock
Our peacock journals feature spectacular stylised peacocks whose feathers
fan out in a display of vivid colour, poised in a border that swirls with
intricately patterned paisley motifs in bright, fiery colours, reminiscent
of a phoenix in the flames.
Bouquets
The muted beauty of this floral design brings to mind the elegant refinement
of a 19th-century drawing room. This tasteful and delicate design represents
a timeless elegance.
